MLB: Cleveland 4, Texas 3

CLEVELAND, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Carlos Santana's two-run single in the first inning put Cleveland ahead to stay and the Indians snapped a six-game skid with a 4-3 win over Texas.

Casey Kotchman and Jack Hannahan each added an RBI in the four-run initial frame, while Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-3 with a run scored as the Tribe evened their three-game series.

Jeanmar Gomez (5-7) earned the win after allowing three runs on four hits in a 5 2/3-inning effort.

Vinnie Pestano recorded the final four outs for his first save.

Texas starter Scott Feldman (6-11) was tagged with the loss, yielding four runs on six hits over six frames.

Adrian Beltre went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and David Murphy also went deep for American League West-leading Texas.
