MLS: FC Dallas 3, Colorado 2

FRISCO, Texas, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Fabian Castillo and Jair Benitez scored 3 minutes apart late in the first half Saturday, rallying FC Dallas to a 3-2 victory over Colorado.

The Rapids took an early lead on Jaime Castrillon's tally in the 12th minute.

But Dallas got the equalizer in the 41st when Castillo slammed a low shot past Rapids goalkeeper Matt Pickens from distance.

Benitez then made 2-1 in the 44th when he curled free kick into the net.

Dallas (6-11-8) then got a crucial third goal in the 49th. David Ferreira picked up Castillo's low cross slotted it home for the first goal of the year.

Colorado's Jeff Larentowicz made it 3-2 six minutes later, but the Rapids (8-15-1) then went a man down and could get no closer.
