MLB: Tampa Bay 7, Minnesota 3 (10 innings)

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Jeff Keppinger's 10th-inning RBI groundout Sunday put Tampa Bay ahead and the Rays went on to complete a three-game sweep of Minnesota with a 7-3 victory.

With the score tied 3-3 in the 10th, Desmond Jennings led off the frame with a single against Alex Burnett (4-4), B.J. Upton walked, and after Ben Zobrist's sacrifice, Evan Longoria was intentionally walked to load the bases.

Keppinger -- who also socked a second-inning solo homer -- then grounded out to shortstop, pushing Jennings (2-for-4, homer) across with the go-ahead run.

The Rays then added some insurance on a two-run single from Ryan Roberts and Matt Joyce's pinch-hit, run-scoring double.

Kyle Farnsworth (1-3) earned the win and Fernando Rodney racked up his MLB-best 36th save for second-place Tampa Bay, which won its sixth straight overall and moved to within five games of the American League East-leading New York Yankees.

Justin Morneau went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer for Minnesota.
