CHICAGO, July 8 (UPI) -- Colby Rasmus homered and drove in three runs Sunday and the Toronto Blue Jays clubbed four homers in their 11-9 slugfest win over the Chicago White Sox.
Rasmus and Edwin Encarnacion each blasted two-run shots in the first inning to stake the Blue Jays to a quick 4-0 lead.
Kelly Johnson added a two-run homer in the third and Jeff Mathis chipped in with a solo shot in the next frame for Toronto, which avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the White Sox.
Jason Frasor (1-1) earned the victory with a scoreless seventh inning and Casey Janssen nailed down his 12th save, retiring the final five Chisox batters.
Chicago starter Dylan Axlerod (0-2) was pounded for seven runs on six hits over three-plus innings.
Alex Rios bashed a three-run homer and added an RBI double, while Alexei Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a two-run triple for American League Central-leading Chicago.
