MLB: Cleveland 8, Cincinnati 1

CLEVELAND, June 20 (UPI) -- Justin Masterson gave up three hits in a complete-game effort Wednesday and Cleveland backed him up with a five-run fourth inning to down Cincinnati 8-1.

The Indians completed a three-game sweep by finally giving Masterson some help. He came into the game having received the least run support of any starter in the American League.

Masterson (4-6) struck out nine and did not walk a batter, and the only run he allowed was unearned. It was the fourth complete game in his five major league seasons.

Cleveland broke a scoreless tie in the fourth, getting a two-run homer from Johnny Damon and a three-run blast from Asdrubal Cabrera. Lonnie Chisenhall added a three-run double in the seventh.

Bronson Arroyo (3-5) gave up five runs on eight hits in four innings to suffer the setback. It was Cincinnati's seventh straight loss in Cleveland.
