ANAHEIM, Calif., May 6 (UPI) -- C.J. Wilson struck out nine batters over eight innings Saturday and the Los Angeles Angels cruised to a 6-2 victory over Toronto.
Wilson (4-2) yielded a pair of runs on six hits and three walks in winning his second straight start.
Mike Trout drove in two runs with a solo homer and sacrifice fly, while Mark Trumbo added a solo shot as Los Angeles took its first win after back-to-back losses to Toronto in a four-game set.
Kendrys Morales went 3-for-5 with an RBI for the Angels.
The slumping Albert Pujols was given the night off after going just 2-for-27 in his last 18 contests.
Pujols, who signed a 10-year $240 million contract with the Angels during the off-season, has gone 137 at-bats without hitting a homer dating to last season.
Toronto starter Kyle Drabek (2-3) was tagged for five runs on eight hits over five innings.
Adam Lind knocked a solo homer for the Jays.
