OKLAHOMA CITY, April 25 (UPI) -- Ty Lawson scored 25 points and led a fourth-quarter charge Wednesday, vaulting the Denver Nuggets to a 106-101 victory over Oklahoma City.
Lawson's two free throws with 5 seconds remaining secured the victory and gave Denver a one game lead over Dallas for the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. The Nuggets will finish in the sixth spot if they defeat Minnesota Thursday or Dallas loses to Atlanta.
Oklahoma City ended its regular season with a 47-19 record and, as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, will meet either Denver or Dallas in the opening round. The Thunder lost at home for only the seventh time this season.
Arron Afflalo had 15 points for Denver and Danilo Gallinari added 14.
Kevin Durant scored 32 points for Oklahoma City.
