MILWAUKEE, April 25 (UPI) -- Evan Turner and Jodie Meeks combined for 56 points Wednesday in pacing the Philadelphia 76ers to a 90-85 victory over Milwaukee.
The win left the 76ers and New York Knicks tied for the seventh and eighth spots in the Eastern Conference with both teams having a game to play Thursday.
Philadelphia is holding down the No. 8 seed and for that to change the 76ers will have to defeat Detroit Thursday while New York loses to Charlotte.
Turner made 13-of-29 shots from the field, claimed 13 rebounds and scored 29 points while most of Philadelphia's regulars sat out the contest. Meeks was 8-of-19 while producing his 27 points. No other member of the 76ers had more than eight.
Brandon Jennings led Milwaukee with 19.
Philadelphia survived down the stretch despite not making a field goal over the final 3 minutes.
