NBA: Memphis 94, Los Angeles Clippers 85

MEMPHIS, April 9 (UPI) -- Marc Gasol's 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists Monday sent the Memphis Grizzlies to a 94-85 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The playoff-bound Grizzlies solidified their hold on the fifth seed in the Western Conference with the help of Rudy Gay, who scored 16 points.

O.J. Mayo and Mike Conley chipped in 13 apiece for Memphis, which notched a third straight win.

The Clippers got a combined 40 points from Chris Paul and Blake Griffin but were done in by their 4-of-18 shooting from 3-point range.

Los Angeles lost for the first time in three contests and fell 1 1/2 games behind the Lakers for first place in the Pacific Division.
