NBA: Denver 98, Boston 91

DENVER, March 18 (UPI) -- Kenneth Faried was effective at both ends of the floor for Denver Saturday, supplying 18 points and 16 rebounds in the Nuggets' 98-91 win over Boston.

Danilo Gallinari added 20 points for the Nuggets, who led by 14 to start the final quarter but allowed the Celtics to creep to within two points, 87-85, with 4 minutes left before putting the game away,

Denver improved to 4-3 on a nine-game homestand with the help of Arron Afflalo, who finished with 15 points.

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce netted 22 points apiece, and Rajon Rondo contributed 12 and 16 assists for the Celtics.
