NBA: Utah 109, Cleveland 100

CLEVELAND, March 5 (UPI) -- Al Jefferson flirted with a triple-double Monday while helping Utah snap a six-game road losing streak with a 109-100 victory over Cleveland.

Jefferson scored 25 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and handed out seven assists. It was the fourth road win of the season in 17 tries for the Jazz. Their previous road win had come on Feb. 12 against Memphis.

Gordon Hayward contributed 23 points off the bench for Utah and Josh Howard had 14.

Utah closed the first half on a 24-10 run to take a 56-41 advantage and the Jazz maintained a comfortable lead throughout most of the final two periods. Cleveland closed within five points in the final minute before Jefferson and Hayward made a pair of free throws each.

Kyrie Irving and Antawn Jamison both had 22 points for the Cavaliers, losers of six straight.
