After Jaroslav Halak allowed three goals on 12 shots, Brian Elliott came in to shut the door. He stopped all 15 shots he saw in regulation and overtime and then blanked the Devils in the shootout.

Patrik Berglund lifted the Blues into a 3-3 tie with 5:50 left in regulation. St. Louis won the final two games of its three-game road trip.

Zach Parise scored for the Devils in the opening period and New Jersey took the lead in the second on goals from Adam Henrique and Patrik Elias. New Jersey had won five in a row.
