NBA: Sacramento 95, Portland 92

SACRAMENTO, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- A jumper by Tyreke Evans gave Sacramento a five-point lead with 19 seconds remaining Thursday and the Kings held on to down Portland 95-92.

Sacramento survived two missed 3-pointers in the closing seconds to snap a five-game losing streak.

The Kings overcame a 13-point deficit in the second period and built a narrow lead down the stretch thanks to 20 points from Marcus Thornton and 19 from John Salmons.

Evans' key shot put Sacramento in front 95-90, but LaMarcus Aldridge cut the Portland deficit to three by making a layup with 13 seconds remaining.

Gerald Wallace then stole the ball from Salmons, giving Portland a chance to force overtime.

Raymond Felton missed a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left, but Wesley Matthews grabbed an offensive rebound. Jamal Crawford then missed Portland's last attempt just before the buzzer.

Aldridge made 12-of-19 shots and scored 28 points to lead the Trail Blazers.
