GLENDALE, Ariz., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Mike Smith made 32 saves and Radim Vrbata scored the deciding goal for Phoenix Tuesday in the Coyotes' 3-2 victory over Ottawa.
Gilbert Brule and Shane Doan both scored for the Coyotes, who ended a three-game losing streak and consigned the Senators to their third consecutive loss.

Smith withstood a 12-shot flurry in the pivotal third period. Vrbata scored at 1:30 of the period to make it 3-1, but Chris Neil beat Smith 14 seconds later to put the Senators right back in the game.
Daniel Alfredsson scored Ottawa's first goal at 17:39 of the second period. Craig Anderson made 23 saves in the loss.
