NHL: Vancouver 5, Nashville 1

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Daniel and Henrik Sedin combined for two goals and three assists Thursday, sending the Vancouver Canucks breezing to a 5-1 romp over Nashville.

The Predators lost their fourth straight and Pekka Rinne was removed from the game after giving up four goals on 16 shots in the opening period.

Daniel Sedin scored 2:11 into the contest and Matt Halischuk tied it less than 2 minutes later, the only goal allowed by Roberto Luongo.

Henrik Sedin put the Canucks in front for good on the power play with 5:56 having gone by in the first and before the period was out Dale Weise and Christopher Higgins had also scored for Vancouver.

Anders Lindback replaced Rinne and allowed one goal on 24 shots the rest of the way. Ryan Kesler added a goal for the Canucks in the third period.

Luongo made 25 saves to even his record at 2-2.
