MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Shelley Duncan homered and later added a two-run double during a big seventh inning Sunday that carried the Cleveland Indians to a 6-5 win over Minnesota.
Trailing 3-0 going into the frame, the Tribe sent 11 men to the plate and scored six times to break the contest open and complete a three-game sweep of the reeling Twins.
Duncan got things going with a lead-off solo homer off Carl Pavano (8-13) and finished it with a two-bagger to drive in a pair.
Former Twin Jim Thome added an RBI single in the sixth to back Justin Masterson (12-10), who yielded three runs (only one earned) on seven hits and one walk over six innings,
Pavano lasted 6 2/3 innings, surrendering four runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk. He fanned six Indians.
Brian Dinkelman went 4-for-5 with an RBI as the Twins lost their eighth straight.
