DETROIT, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Detroit Lions tackle Ndamukong Suh indicated he's none too happy with the NFL about an apparent $20,000 fine for leveling Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton.

"$20,000REALLY???" Suh said in a Twitter message Wednesday that was followed by 108 exclamation marks and the hashtags #NFL and #BIGFAIL."

The NFL had not yet confirmed the fine.

Suh, a second-year player, was flagged for roughing the passer in the first quarter of the Lions-Bengals pre-season opener Friday when he wrapped up the rookie Dalton around his head and shoulders and slammed him to the ground, sending his helmet flying.

Dalton, who had already released the ball for an incomplete pass, stayed in the game.

Detroit won the game 34-3.

Suh was fined twice as a rookie for illegal hits on quarterbacks Jake Delhomme and Jay Cutler.
