MLB: Florida 5, Los Angeles Angels 2

MIAMI, June 21 (UPI) -- Mike Stanton went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs Tuesday, helping the Florida Marlins beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-2 and snap an 11-game losing streak.

Stanton's sixth-inning double drove in Hanley Ramirez for a 3-0 Marlins lead and the right fielder knocked in one of two insurance runs in the eighth for Florida, which logged its first win since June 10.

Greg Dobbs collected three hits and scored twice, Omar Infante drove in a pair of runs and Gaby Sanchez socked a solo homer as the Marlins finally notched a win in their second game under interim Manager Jack McKeon.

Javier Vazquez (4-7) earned the victory, tossing 5 1/3 shutout innings despite yielding 10 hits. He was aided by a pair a of double plays turned by the Marlins infield.

Leo Nunez earned his 20th save by getting the final out of the game after the Angels scored twice in the ninth.

Ervin Santana (3-8) lost his fourth straight start for the Angels, surrendering two runs on five hits in a five-inning effort.
