Rain forces Birmingham final postponement

BIRMINGHAM, England, June 12 (UPI) -- The AEGON Classic final between Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia and Germany's Sabine Lisicki was postponed Sunday due to rain.

Steady rain in Birmingham, England, forced officials to move back the championship match to Monday.

Hantuchova, seeded fourth, made the final after downing Ana Ivanovic of Serbia in the semifinals 6-7 (2-7), 6-3, 6-2.

Lisicki, meanwhile, breezed past China's Peng Shuai 6-3, 6-1.
