TORONTO, May 9 (UPI) -- Austin Jackson's bases-clearing double highlighted a six-run fourth inning Monday that carried the Detroit Tigers to a 10-5 win over Toronto.
Victor Martinez, Don Kelly and Ramon Santiago contributed run-scoring hits in the big inning, which lifted the Tigers to their third win a four-game set against the Blue Jays.
Jackson finished with four RBI and Martinez added a two-run homer among his three hits for Detroit.
The Tigers' Max Scherzer (6-0) tied the major league lead in wins with his sixth straight victory, allowing two runs on five hits over five innings, walking three and fanning five.
Toronto's Brandon Morrow (1-2) surrendered five runs on three hits in a 3 1/3-inning start.
Yunel Escobar hit a solo homer and Corey Patterson added a two-run double for Toronto, which suffered its seventh loss in nine games.
