NBA: Philadelphia 86, Miami 82

PHILADELPHIA, April 24 (UPI) -- Lou Williams drained a key 3-pointer with 8.1 seconds left Sunday, allowing Philadelphia to stay alive in the NBA playoffs with an 86-82 win over Miami.

Williams got hot late in the game, scoring 11 of his 17 points down the stretch. That total included a decisive, pull-up 27-footer that put the 76ers ahead for good and enabled them to avoid a three-game sweep in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Heat.

Rookie Evan Turner (17 points) finished the Sixers' 10-0 run to end the game with two clinching free throws in the closing seconds.

LeBron James scored 31 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out six assists for the Heat, but his attempt at a game-tying basket was blocked by Elton Brand.

The Heat will try to close out the series again when it moves back to Miami for Wednesday's Game 5.
