NHL: Anaheim 2, Los Angeles 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 9 (UPI) -- Teemu Selanne scored in both the second and third periods Friday in rallying Anaheim to a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles.

The Ducks and Chicago remained tied for seventh and eighth place in the Western Conference, two points in front of ninth-place Dallas with one game to play in the regular season. All three teams won Friday to set up the final drama in the race for the last two playoff spots in the conference.

Los Angeles was passed in the standings Friday by both Nashville and Phoenix, falling to sixth place.

Ryan Smith put the Kings in front midway through the third, but Selanne tied it 9:55 into the second and gave the Ducks the critical win by putting a wrist shot past Jonathan Quick 5:54 into the third. Selanne has 31 goals for the season.

Dan Ellis made 23 saves for Anaheim. Quick stopped 26 shots.
