NBA: Miami 108, New Jersey 94

NEWARK, N.J., April 3 (UPI) -- LeBron James's 31 points and 11 rebounds Sunday helped the Miami Heat knock off New Jersey 108-94 to clinch the Southeast Division title.

Dwyane Wade contributed 18 points to the Heat's win, which, combined with Orlando's loss at Toronto, gave Miami a six-game lead with five games left in the regular season. The Heat are within 2 1/2 games of Chicago for first place in the Eastern Conference.

The Nets got 18 points and 12 assists from Deron Williams en route to their sixth straight defeat and 10th in their last 11 outings.

Miami established control by hitting 15-of-20 field goal attempts in the first period. James got 15 of his points in what turned out to be the decisive period.
