NBA: Miami 111, Minnesota 92

MINNEAPOLIS, April 1 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade keyed a 25-1 run to open the second half Friday, sending Miami to a 111-92 victory over Minnesota.

Wade scored 16 of his 32 points in the third quarter, helping Miami stay within 2 1/2 games of Chicago for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Minnesota lost its ninth straight game and remained stuck on a Western Conference-worst 17 victories for the season.

Wade made 14-of-21 shots from the field and Miami shot 54 percent as a team. LeBron James added 27 points for the Heat and Chris Bosh had 24. The remainder of the team had just 28.

Martell Webster led the Timberwolves off the bench with 22 points. Kevin Love failed to reach a double-double for the third straight outing, recording 18 points and seven rebounds.
