NHL: Vancouver 5, Dallas 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Daniel Sedin scored two goals and assisted on a third Saturday, taking over the NHL scoring lead while sparking Vancouver to a 5-2 win over reeling Dallas.

Raffi Torres added two goals and Henrik Sedin had one goal and two assists for the Canucks, who raised their NHL-best record to 38-13-9, good for 85 points and a five-point Western Conference lead over second-place Detroit.

Daniel Sedin's three-point night gave him 77 points, two better that Steven Stamkos of Tampa Bay.

Roberto Luongo turned aside 22-of-24 shot to help the Canucks sweep a season's series from Dallas for the first time in franchise history.

James Neal and Brendan Morrow scored for the Stars, who suffered their seventh straight road road loss and saw their hold on a Western Conference playoff spot continue to slip.

Andrew Raycroft stopped 33-of-38 shots for Dallas.
