COL BKB: Kansas State 84, Kansas 68

MANHATTAN, Kan., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Jacob Pullen pumped in five 3-pointers en route to 38 points Monday and Kansas State upended top-ranked intrastate rival Kansas 84-68.

Pullen went 5-of-6 from beyond the arc and 15-of-19 from the free throw line for Kansas State (17-9, 5-6 Big 12), which beat the Jayhawks for only the second time in 28 home meetings.

Pullen also dished off five assists while Rodney McGruder and Jordan Henriquez-Roberts each chipped in with 10 points for the Wildcats, who topped their rivals for the first time since Jan. 30, 2008.

The Jayhawks (24-2, 9-2) lost less than a day after they were voted by coaches as the nation's No. 1 team in the wake of previously undefeated Ohio State's loss to Wisconsin Saturday.

Tyrel Reed scored 14 points and Marcus Morris added 13 for Kansas, which went 3-of-15 from long range.
