NBA: Phoenix 112, Golden State 88

PHOENIX, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Steve Nash and Channing Frye combined to make seven 3-pointers Thursday and sent Phoenix coasting to a 112-88 whipping of Golden State.

The Suns have won five out of six, two of those victories coming against the Warriors.

Phoenix held Golden State scoreless for the final 3:16 of the second period and for the first 3:17 of the third to take control. The Suns led by as many as 32 points early in the fourth period.

Nash scored 18 points and had 11 assists while Frye added 17. A dozen Phoenix players scored, five of them in double figures.

The Warriors were coming off a break-even, eight-game homestand, their longest of the season. Reggie Williams scored 20 points for Golden State, which shot just 40 percent from the field and was outrebounded 47-32.
