NFL: Green Bay 31, Pittsburgh 25

ARLINGTON, Texas, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Aaron Rodgers tossed three touchdowns Sunday and the Green Bay Packers hung on to win another NFL championship, defeating Pittsburgh 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV.

Rodgers completed 24-of-39 passes for 304 yards, connecting with Greg Jennings on touchdowns of 21 and 8 yards and with Jordy Nelson on a 29-yard strike, capitalizing on three Steelers turnovers and guiding the Packers to their fourth Super Bowl title.

Green Bay led the entire game, but Pittsburgh mounted a fourth-quarter challenge when Ben Roethlisberger (25-of-40, 263 yards, two TDs) hit Mike Wallace on a 25-yard touchdown pass and followed with a 2-point conversion, pulling the Steelers to within 28-25 with 7 1/2 minutes remaining.

But Rodgers responded by marching Green Bay 70 yards on the ensuing possession and Mason Crosby booted a 23-yard field goal with 2:07 left to give the Packers some insurance points.

Nelson made nine grabs for 140 yards for Green Bay, which won its first Super Bowl since 1996.

Wallace hauled down nine passes for 89 yards and Hines Ward chipped in with seven grabs and a TD for the Steelers, who were seeking their second Super Bowl victory in three years and seventh overall.
