COL BKB: Indiana 60, Minnesota 57

BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Tom Pritchard and Verdell Jones III each scored 12 points Wednesday and Indiana held off No. 20 Minnesota for a 60-57 win.

Pritchard grabbed seven rebounds and Jones connected on a key 3-pointer with 2 minutes remaining to blunt a Minnesota rally and hand the Hoosiers (12-11, 3-7 Big Ten) their second straight home win over a ranked opponent.

Matt Roth hit a trio of 3-pointers en route to nine points for the victors.

Blake Hoffarber led the Golden Gophers (16-6, 5-5) with 15 points, but could manage on only 4-for-12 shooting from the floor and missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Austin Hollins chipped in with 13 points as Minnesota lost for the 11th time in 14 conference road games.

The Hoosiers beat Illinois 52-49 Jan. 27, when the Fighting Illini were ranked 21st.
