NBA: New York 124, Detroit 106

NEW YORK, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire and Danilo Gallinari teamed up for 62 points and the New York Knicks got hot in the fourth quarter Sunday, spanking Detroit 124-106.

Stoudemire scored 10 of his of 33 points in the final frame, when the Knicks broke the game open by outscoring the Pistons 33-15.

Gallinari pumped in 29 points, including 11-of-11 from the free-throw line, and hit a pair of 3-pointers to start the fourth-quarter surge for the Knicks, who won for only the third time in 10 games.

Timofey Mozgov came off the bench to score 23 points and grab 14 rebounds for New York.

Ben Gordon struck for 35 points, Tayshaun Prince added 16 and Greg Monroe chipped in 15 points and a career-high 17 rebounds for the Pistons, whose road record fell to 5-21.
