NBA: San Antonio 101, New York 92

SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan and Tony Parker both had 21 points Friday and San Antonio extended its longest home win streak in two decades with a 101-92 victory over New York.

The Spurs have won 17 in a row at home, their longest such streak since capturing 20 in a row during the 1989-90 season.

San Antonio pulled away late after leading by only four midway through the fourth quarter. The Spurs had a 61-50 halftime cushion but managed just 16 points in the third period while allowing the Knicks to climb back in the game.

Duncan added 16 rebounds, eight assists and five blocks. Parker had 13 assists to go with his 21 points.

DeJuan Blair scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in San Antonio's eighth straight win overall.

The Knicks, who have lost five in a row, were led by 18 points and 15 rebounds from Amare Stoudemire. He had a streak of 26 straight games with at least 20 points come to an end.
