NBA: Houston 104, New York 89

HOUSTON, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Kevin Martin led six Houston players in double figures Wednesday and the Rockets dominated down the stretch to defeat New York 104-89.

Despite another 20-point effort from Amare Stoudemire, the Rockets pulled away in the fourth quarter to win their third straight. It is just the second time all season Houston has won three consecutive games.

Martin scored 21 points, Kyle Lowry had 18 and both Chase Budinger and Luis Scola produced 13 for the Rockets.

Stoudemire delivered 25 points, the 26th straight game he has had at least 20. That is the longest such streak for the Knicks since Patrick Ewing had 28 games in a row of 20 or more in 1990.

The Knicks lost their fourth straight.
