COL BKB: Georgetown 86, DePaul 75

WASHINGTON, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Austin Freeman and Jason Clark each scored 21 points and No. 9 Georgetown downed DePaul for the 10th straight time Saturday in an 86-75 victory.

Freeman went 8-of-12 from the field and canned a trio of 3-pointers and Clark came off the bench to sink 9-of-15 shots for the Hoyas (12-2, 1-1 Big East), who rebounded from a loss to Notre Dame in their conference opener.

Chris Wright added 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Julian Vaughn collected 10 caroms for Georgetown, which hasn't lost to the Blue Demons since January 1994.

Cleveland Melvin contributed 29 points and eight rebounds and Tony Freeland hauled down nine boards to go with 24 points for DePaul (6-8, 0-2), which dropped its 14th straight conference game.
