NHL: Calgary 3, Colorado 2

CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Tim Jackman and Tom Kostopoulos had a goal and an assist each while Calgary was taking a three-goal lead Friday and the Flames went on to down Colorado 3-2.

Calgary has won three straight games for the first time since late October.

Kostopoulos and Jarome Iginla scored 42 seconds apart early in the middle period and Jackson added a goal with 6:37 left in the stanza.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 15 shots he saw through the first two periods, and then gave up goals to Daniel Winnik and Tomas Fleischmann in the third. Fleischmann's score came with 2:32 remaining.

Colorado has lost four of its last five games. Craig Anderson stopped 20 shots in taking the loss.
