NBA: San Antonio 109, Denver 103

SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Manu Ginobili touched off a game-ending surge Wednesday that brought the San Antonio Spurs a 109-103 victory over Denver.

The Spurs won their 10th straight game and improved the NBA's best record to 25-3.

Denver had a two-point lead with 4 minutes to play but was outscored the rest of the way 10-2. Ginobili's 3-pointer gave San Antonio a 102-101 lead with 2:51 remaining.

Ginobili went on to score 22 points and Richard Jefferson had 16. Tim Duncan had nine points and nine rebounds.

Denver was led by Ty Lawson and J.R. Smith with 22 points each. Carmelo Anthony was not with the team due to the death of his sister.

San Antonio hit 52 percent of its shots from the field and half of its 24 tries from 3-point range.
