NBA: New Orleans 105, New Jersey 91

NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Emeka Okafor's 21 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday helped the New Orleans Hornets coast during the second half to a 105-91 victory over New Jersey.

The Hornets took a 20-point lead into the fourth quarter and went on to end a two-game skid.

New Orleans hit its first six shots and eventually made 53 percent of its attempts from the field. Chris Paul had 12 points and 14 assists for the Hornets, who went on a 17-4 run early in the second half to take control.

Devon Harris had 21 points for New Jersey, which had won its previous two games to get to nine victories for the season.
