COL FB: Minnesota 27, Iowa 24

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Duane Bennett's bruising 6-yard scoring run with 4:31 remaining Saturday boosted Minnesota to a 27-24 win over No. 24 Iowa.

Bennett gained 63 yards on 11 carries and DeLeon Eskridge rushed for 95 yards on 21 carries and also scored for the Gophers (3-9, 2-6 Big Ten), who finished a disappointing season with back-to-back wins.

Senior signal-caller Adam Weber went 13-of-26 passes for 164 yards in his final game, helping the Gophers win in the annual battle for the Floyd of Rosedale for only the second time in 10 years.

Ricky Stanzi connected on 10-of-22 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns for the Hawkeyes (7-5, 4-4).

Marcus Coker gained 89 yards on 21 carries, and Marvin McNutt and Derrell Johnson-Koulianos each caught a TD pass as Iowa ended the regular season with three straight losses.
