COL FB: South Carolina 69, Troy 24

COLUMBIA, S.C., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- South Carolina had three touchdowns from freshman Marcus Lattimore Saturday in their 69-24 rout of Troy, which landed them a berth in the SEC Championship Game.

Lattimore ran for 102 yards and scored on the No. 17 Gamecocks' (8-3, 5-3 SEC) first play from scrimmage and scored two more first-quarter TDs to give South Carolina an early 21-lead.

South Carolina was up 35-0 before the Trojans (5-5, 4-2 Sun Belt) got on the board in the second quarter on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Chris Anderson to Jason Bruce.

Stephen Garcia, one of three quarterbacks to see action for South Carolina, was 9-of-12 passing for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Ace Sanders caught two TD passes.

Troy's Corey Robinson was 22-of-38 passing for 158 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The Trojans, who have lost three of their last four games, had five turnovers and a total of 81 yards rushing.
