SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Tony Parker scored 24 points Friday and the San Antonio Spurs pulled away in the final minutes to defeat Utah 94-82.
Parker, playing for the second time since his actress wife Eva Longoria filed for divorce, made 11-of-17 shots and received plenty of help in the form of 19 points and 14 rebounds from Tim Duncan.
San Antonio won its ninth in a row and kept pace with New Orleans for the best record in the NBA at 10-1. The Hornets beat Cleveland Friday.
San Antonio had a five-point lead with 5 minutes to play and limited the Jazz to four points the rest of the way.
Utah played without Coach Jerry Sloan, who will miss two games due to a death in the family.
The Spurs held the Jazz to 41 percent shooting and won the rebounding battle 46-31. Utah was led by Deron Williams with 23 points.
