TORONTO, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Mason Raymond netted the go-ahead goal late in the third period Saturday and the Vancouver Canucks hung on for a 5-3 win over struggling Toronto.
Raymond's tally off assists from Mikael Samuelsson and Alexander Edler came with less than 7 minutes left and broke a 3-3 tie. Dan Hamhuis added an empty-netter and the Canucks won for the eighth time in nine games.
Raymond and Daniel Sedin each had a goal and an assist, and Ryan Kesler notched a pair of markers for the victors, who got 30 saves from Roberto Luongo.
The Maple Leafs dropped their eighth straight game, 11th in 12 overall and seventh consecutive against Vancouver.
Mikhail Grabovski, Fredrik Sjostrom and Phil Kessel scored, and Jean Sebastien Giguere stopped 27-of-31 shots for Toronto.
