NHL: St. Louis 1, Pittsburgh 0 (OT)

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Erik Johnson broke up a goaltenders' duel with a goal 50 seconds into overtime Saturday and the St. Louis Blues edged Pittsburgh 1-0.

Johnson's first goal of the year was a big one for St. Louis. He took a pass from T.J. Oshie while skating through the slot and snapped a shot past Pittsburgh goalie Brent Johnson for the game-winner.

Jaroslav Halak made 31 saves, recording his first shutout of the season and 10th of his career, helping the Blues to their second straight win. They didn't face any shots in the brief overtime.

Brent Johnson, meanwhile, turned aside 23 shots for Pittsburgh, which lost for the first time in five games.
