ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Evan Longoria smacked a two-run homer among his three hits Sunday and Tampa Bay downed Texas 5-2 in Game 4 of their American League Division Series.

Longoria added a pair of doubles to back Wade Davis (1-0), who allowed two runs on seven hits over five-plus innings in the Rays' victory, which forced a decisive fifth game Tuesday at St. Petersburg, Fla.

Tampa Bay avoided elimination for the second straight game thanks to 12 hits, including two apiece from Carlos Pena and B.J. Upton, who both drove in a run.

The Rays also got a solid effort from their bullpen as four relievers combined to toss four one-hit innings to clinch the victory.

Rangers starter Tommy Hunter (0-1) gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits with seven strikeouts.

Texas is still seeking its first-ever post-season series win and fell to 0-6 all-time in home playoff games.
