ATLANTA, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Brian McCann's game-ending, ninth-inning homer capped a furious Atlanta comeback that handed the Braves a 7-6 win over Florida.
Trailing 6-4 entering their final at-bat, the Braves stunned the Marlins with three runs.
Florida pitcher Leo Nunez (4-3) walked Brooks Conrad on four pitches and pinch-hitter Matt Diaz blasted a 2-1 delivery to right for a game-tying homer.
Two outs later, McCann ended the game with a shot that was initially a double but changed to game-winning round-tripper.
Takashi Saito (2-3) collected the win for a scoreless ninth inning.
The Braves entered the game holding a two-game National League East lead over Philadelphia.
