SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Juan Uribe singled home Buster Posey from second with no one out in the 11th inning Saturday, giving San Francisco a 3-2 comeback win over San Diego.
The Giants trailed by two heading into the seventh, but rallied for a key win that evened the three-game series and moved them within 2 1/2 games of the first-place Padres in the National League West.
Tim Stauffer (3-2) came on to start the 11th as the seventh San Diego pitcher and immediately gave up a double to Posey. Pablo Sandoval, who had homered earlier in the game, was walked intentionally and Uribe followed by hitting Stauffer's first pitch into right field.
Santiago Casilla (4-2), who left runners stranded on the corners in the top of the 11th, got the win.
San Diego had a five-game winning streak snapped.
The Padres took the lead on RBI doubles by Chase Headley in the first and Adrian Gonzalez in the fifth.
Mat Latos gave up a run on five hits in six-plus innings for San Diego. He has allowed two runs or fewer in 11 straight starts, a team record.
