MLB: Atlanta 8, Houston 2 (10 innings)

HOUSTON, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Omar Infante delivered a tie-breaking RBI double to ignite a six-run, 10th-inning rally Wednesday, giving the Atlanta Braves an 8-2 win over Houston.

The Astros scored in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra frames, but the Braves quickly put together a big inning, launched when Infante smashed a pitch from Brandon Lyon (6-5) off the left field wall to drive in Rick Ankiel with the go-ahead tally.

Alex Gonzalez later connected for an RBI single and Brian McCann capped the outburst with a grand slam homer off Jeff Fulchino to turn the game into a rout and hand the first-place Braves a victory in the rubber match of a three-game set at Minute Maid Park.

Billy Wagner (6-2) picked up the win despite allowing the Astros to tie it in the ninth on Chris Johnson' sacrifice fly.

Braves starter Tommy Hanson allowed only one unearned run on two hits in seven innings.
