MLB: Arizona 3, New York Mets 2

PHOENIX, July 21 (UPI) -- Arizona's Barry Enright pitched a solid eight innings in his fourth major league start Tuesday to help the Diamondbacks post a 3-2 win over the New York Mets.

Enright (2-2) held the Mets to one run on five hits and struck out eight -- and also drove in a run with his first big league hit.

Gerardo Parra had an RBI triple for Arizona and Justin Upton hit a solo home run to help snap the D'Backs four-game losing streak. Juan Gutierrez gave up a run in the ninth but held on for his third save.

Josh Thole and Angel Pagan homered for the Mets, who totaled six hits in the game and have scored four or fewer runs in 11 consecutive games.

Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (6-4) took the loss, surrendering three runs on seven hits over seven innings. Dickey is 0-4 in his last five starts.
