PARIS, July 4 (UPI) -- Miguel Angel Jimenez won a three-way playoff Sunday at the Open de France golf tournament, rebounding from a double-bogey on the final regulation hole.

Jimenez rolled in a 15-foot par putt to knock out fellow Spaniard Alejandro Canizares and Francesco Molinari of Italy on the first playoff hole at Le Golf National in Paris.

The playoff was necessitated after Jimenez blew a two-stroke lead coming into the final hole. He came up short with his approach shot and found the water hazard, ending with a double-bogey for a 4-under 67.

Molinari also carded a 67 and Canizares registered a 68 Sunday, finishing at 11-under 273 along with Jimenez.

Rory McIlroy ended one shot behind the three leaders at minus-10, carding a 66 in the final round.

Danny Willett (68) claimed sole possession of fifth place, one shot further back at minus-8.
