NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Tony Parker scored 25 points for the San Antonio Spurs, who fought off a fourth-quarter New Orleans rally Monday and beat the Hornets 97-90.

The win gave the Spurs a 2-2 split on a four-game road trip.

Tim Duncan had 21 points, George Hill scored 16 and Manu Ginobili had 11 for San Antonio, which built a 78-61 lead over three quarters and withstood an 11-2 New Orleans run to begin the fourth.

Duncan needs 15 more points to reach the 20,000 plateau in his NBA career.

David West and Chris Paul each scored 18 points and Marcus Thornton added 16 for the Hornets.
