SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Manu Ginobli's 21 points, three rebounds and three assists Sunday led San Antonio in a 97-85 victory over the New Jersey Nets.

The Spurs expanded a slim 49-47 halftime lead with a 28-18 third period in which Ginobli scored only three points, while Tim Duncan and Tony Parker scored six each.

Duncan scored 14 with 17 rebounds and Ian Mahinmi 15 with nine rebounds, while Richard Jefferson and George Hill scored 10 points each for the Spurs, who have won two of three.

Brook Lopez led New Jersey with 28 points and 11 rebounds.

Yi Jianlian scored 16 with eight rebounds, Chris Douglas-Roberts 13 with five rebounds and Keyon Dooling finished with 10 points, four rebounds and five assists for the Nets, whose NBA-worst record sank to 3-34.

They lost despite committing just six turnovers to 10 by the Spurs.
