NBA: Cleveland 99, New Jersey 89

CLEVELAND, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- LeBron James scored 23 points, handed out seven assists and pulled down six rebounds Tuesday to lead Cleveland to an easy 99-89 win over New Jersey.

Shaquille O'Neal and Zydrunas Ilgauskas each added 16 points while Mo Williams had 13 points and eight rebounds to pace the Cavaliers to their eighth straight home win.

The Nets got a double-double from Brook Lopez, who notched 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Devin Harris contributed 22 points and Rafer Alston came off the bench to score 20 points.

O'Neal scored five of Cleveland's first seven points, and Anthony Parker and Williams connected on jumpers for a 13-4 Cleveland lead en route to a 30-22 first-stanza advantage.

In the second half, the Cavs pushed their lead to 61-51 on a trey by Parker and a Williams transition layup. After the Nets made a run, Cleveland regained control as Ilgauskas' put back pushed the advantage out to 72-63 after three periods.
